Ligand H2L1 (100 mg, 0.254 mmol) wasadded to the clear solution ofCu(OTf)2 (275 mg, 0.763 mmol)in 10 mL MeNO2 forming a clear light blue colored solutionand the reaction mixture was stirred for 30 min at 50 C.The light blue solution thus formed was filtered and left inopen air for slow evaporation.
