Low temperature processed Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are popular due to their potential for scalable production. In this work, we report reduced Graphene Oxide (r-GO)/copper (I) thiocyanate (CuSCN) as an efficient bilayer hole transport layer (HTL) for low temperature processed inverted planar PSCs. We have systematically optimized the thickness of CuSCN interlayer at the r-GO/MAPbI3 interface resulting in bilayer HTL structure to enhance the stability and photovoltaic performance of low temperature processed r-GO HTL based PSCs with a standard surface area of 1.02 cm2. With matched valence band energy level, the r-GO/CuSCN bilayer HTL based PSCs showed high power conversion efficiency of 14.28%, thanks to the improved open circuit voltage (VOC) compared to the only r-GO based PSC. Moreover, enhanced stability has been observed for the r-GO/CuSCN based PSCs which retained over 90% of its initial efficiency after 100 h light soaking measured under continuous AM 1.5 sun illumination.

We report here the all-solution-processed, high-efficiency quantum dot light emitting diode (QLED) employing inorganic copper (I) thiocyanate (CuSCN) as hole injection layer. In comparison with the widely used injection material of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), the hole injection into the QD layer is significantly improved, allowing low turn-on voltage, high luminance and efficiency. By optimizing the multilayer structure and synergistically balancing the carrier injection, the resulting QLEDs exhibit high performance with the maximum current efficiency of 52.4 cd/A and external quantum efficiency of 12.0% for green device, 17.0 cd/A and 16.2% for red device. These results indicate that CuSCN is a reliable hole transport materials for low-cost, high-efficiency QLED devices.

This communication describes the crystal structures of CuI complexes and their topological analysis with an emphasis on the Laplacian of the electron density to investigate the characteristics of halogen bonding. To gain insight into the halogen bonds (XBs), we survey wavefunction and DFT methods. The different XBs, that is, Cl···Cl?, I···I?, Br···N3?, and I···SCN?, in the crystal packing of these compounds are categorized as a combination of a region of charge depletion and a region of charge concentration in the valence-shell charge concentration or hole?lump interactions. The full quantum potential based lump?hole concept is more useful than the sigma-hole concept, in which the electrostatic portion of the potential is merely considered. Such a view of halogen bonding can rationalize the geometry around the XBs. The noncovalent interaction reduced density gradient (NCI-RDG) approach was applied to the real-space visualization and quantitative investigation of the XBs as well.

Semiconducting copper(I) thiocyanate (CuSCN) is actively studied for electronic and optoelectronic applications. Although various kinds of CuSCN-based transistors are reported, these devices suffer from low charge carrier mobility of about 0.01?0.1 cm2 V?1 s?1. Here, ion gel electrolyte consisting of network polymer and ionic liquid is used as a high capacitance gate insulator to achieve high performance CuSCN-based electrolyte-gated transistors (CuSCN-EGTs) with low operation voltage below 1 V. 30 nm thick CuSCN semiconductor film can be formed by a simple solution process with a low processing temperature (?100 C) that is directly applicable to flexible plastic substrates. By doping copper iodide to the CuSCN semiconductor, device performance including drain current and charge carrier mobility of the CuSCN EGT can be improved significantly. The measured charge carrier mobility of ?0.3 cm2 V?1 s?1 is the highest among the reported CuSCN transistors using various gate insulators. These CuSCN-EGTs also display good operation stability under continuous quasistatic external gate voltage sweeps. Such superior electrical performance and versatile processability of ion gel?gated CuSCN transistors make them suitable for use in complimentary circuits and large-area flexible electronics.

An enantioselective thiocyanation of oxindoles has been developed for the first time using a bifunctional cinchona-derived organo-catalyst and N-thiocyanatophthalimide as the electrophilic thiocyanation source in the presence of 2-naphthol as the additive. Various enantioenriched 3,3?-disubstituted oxindoles with SCN-containing quaternary carbon stereocenters were synthesized under mild conditions in high yields (up to 99%) and good enantioselectivities (up to 6:94 er).

In an article, once mentioned the application of 1111-67-7, Name is Cuprous thiocyanate, is a conventional compound.

Syntheses and infrared spectroscopic studies are reported for two different polymorphs of copper(I) thiocyanate and for adducts of copper(I) thiocyanate with thiourea (‘tu’) and ethylenethiourea (‘etu’ = imidazolidine-2-thione; (CH2NH)2CS)). These include the previously reported complex CuSCN/etu (1: 2), which has a trigonal monomeric structure, and CuSCN/etu (1: 1), which has a three-dimensional polymeric structure. A mechanochemical/infrared study of the CuSCN: tu (1: 2) system showed that no 1: 2 complex exists in this case, the product being a mixture of a 1: 3 complex and a novel 1: 0.5 complex. The latter complex was prepared both mechanochemically and from solution, and characterized by infrared and solid-state 65Cu broadline NMR spectroscopy. Diagnostic ligand and metal-ligand bands in the IR and far-IR spectra are assigned for both polymorphs of CuSCN and for all of the complexes studied and are discussed in relation to the structures of the complexes.
